GETCO2 is proud to join eight other ARC Centres of Excellence in the Creative Communication Competition—a cross‑Centre celebration of creativity, science communication and the diverse research happening across Australia.

Centre members are invited to reimagine their science through art. From memes to microscopy photography, comics to digital illustrations, this competition encourages playful, accessible and visually engaging storytelling.

Key Dates

• Launch: 1 June 2026
• Submissions open: 1 June – 31 July 2026
• Judging & People’s Choice voting: 1 – 14 August 2026
• Winners announced: Daily during National Science Week (from 17 August 2026)

Prizes

• 1st Prize (per category): $400 gift card
• 2nd Prize (per category): $170 gift card
• People’s choice $150 gift card

Judges will assess creativity, originality, clarity of research communication and visual impact.
